A Music Sharing Musical Movement
We're on a musical verge. “Music” is becoming more and more digitalized. Masses of the stuff gets electronically bought, sold, and swapped every day. The buyers, sellers, and swappers are staring into monitors, connecting to each other by way of ethernet cords, listening on a million different kinds of media players. This is a concept that can be embraced or stubbornly battled. Smile, shrug, and find a solution or hold your breath and stomp your feet. These are the choices. So do yourself a favor and try out Shazzle.
Crafting Free Music Communities on Shazzle
Shazzle is a community-based file sharing application that lets artists quickly and easily create communities dedicated to their work and their craft. The communities come complete with Shazzle instant messaging and live chat, in addition to the file sharing. They literally take a few minutes to set up. These are individual communities where the creator/administrator can make specific things available. A performer or group who's undiscovered, or anyone who has some content they'd like to make particularly discoverable, can make their music (and themselves) accessible through Shazzle.
Sharing of a Different Herd
We're allowing the people actually creating the music to physically make their work downloadable within their own communities. No more questions of “is this illicit? Would the band want me to take possession of this?” You can go straight to a band's own community and see what music they're telling you you can download. The music makers can ensure that their files are available, and can actually participate in the community. There's an interaction here; a conversation that can be had between the people making this stuff and the people liking what's being made. Why go to a live concert at an intimate venue when you can sit in your room and listen to the album? Because the band's sharing something unique with you, at the concert. They're conversing with you and hand-delivering their music to you themselves. The first one's just more personal. So's Shazzle.
